Shugo wakes up in the middle of the night and realizes that he has just receives an email from Rena. She tells him that he
is safe, although she does not know where she is. Back, in "The World", the Cerulean Knights are still pursuing
illegal players and deleting them. However the main character that they are after is Shugo. Because of this, he is no longer
free to move about in The World without being caught. Thanks to Mireille's super rare items, she disguises herself and Shugo
into costumes. Shugo is in a frog costume and Mireille is in a bunny costume. They are quickly found out and immediately
identified as suspicious characters. Fearing that they may be caught and Shugo's identity found out, they decide to make
a run for it. Quickly they turn a corner to hide in Hotaru's secret hideout...a doghouse.
Inside, Mireille and Shugo are greeted by the rest of the party members as they discuss the email from Rena. Eventually
Reki enters but instead of telling Kamui where they are, he gives them information about where Rena might be.
The four hackers are hard at work preparing their ultimate move. One of them just got a new PC and has been exploring
on his own by creating modified monsters and having them fight other characters. However, the Knights quickly teleport in
to protect the other users and allow the hacker to escape, but not before they are able trace him. The hacker decides to
email his fellow hackers warning them that the Knights are onto them, but they decide to proceed with their plan as scheduled.
Reki informs Shugo that by using his system manager privileges, he has found the server where Rena is. However he is
not sure exactly which area, but he knows that the server is still under construction and off limits to normal players. When
asked on how he can teleport to the area, Sanjuro tells him that with the bracelet he can perform gate hacking.
Knowing that they need a plan in order for Shugo to go out in the public without being caught, Hotaru comes up with an
idea. The plan is to give Mireille's rare frog costume to Komiyan and tell him that Rena wants him to wear it. When Komiyan
puts the costume on, he is immediately chased by the guards thinking that he is Shugo. This gives them enough time to take
out the rest of the guards and allowing them enough time to get to the gate and teleport. Once they get to the gate, Shugo
and the bracelet perform a gate hack and go to the area Reki told them about.
They arrive in the unfinished area to find the 4-hacker characters plotting their actions. A few seconds later, Kamui
appears along with her Knights and a battle begins. Kamui sees Shugo and the hackers and immediately thinks that he is working
in conjunction with the hackers. The hackers use this time to create two monsters and have them attack the knights. Rena
is in a cave in the area and when she sees a bright light, she starts running towards it as fast as she can.
Soon, Kamui and the Cerulean Knights have Shugo and his party surrounded. It is then that a new character appears. She
is identified as a Wandering AI and determined to be a part of the hacker's plan to take over "The World". However,
the Wandering AI prevents everybody from teleporting out of the area and starts to mass delete everyone. Much to their surprise,
the hackers find themselves at the mercy of the AI trapped in the area, and soon they are deleted along with the rest of the
contents of the area.
While everything is being deleted, Sanjuro suggests that Shugo use his bracelet to get them out of there. Sanjuro grabs
Kamui and they start the teleportation process. Just as the group starts rising, Rena makes her way out of the cave, but
she got there too late and remains behind.
Meanwhile back in real life, the three boy hackers, are lying unconscious by their computers at home.
