The show opens with Balmung instructing a girl on where to place a tree in The World for a special event. Reki then teleports
in with information regarding the Super Samurai Shogun, it seems that there are no records of it ever appearing in the beginners
level and that another one has not appeared since. As Balmung and Reki walk away a strange, purple glowing blob disappears.
In the real world, we are able to see what Shugo's father is like. He briefly stops in but tells Shugo that he has to
go back to his work and that he should find something for dinner. Realizing that there is not much to eat, Shugo decides
to log into The World instead.
Once Shugo logs in, Rena immediately scolds him for being late. During this scolding, Mireille shows up ready to join
the party and go out on an adventure. Instead of politely turning Mireille down, Rena grabs Shugo's hand and uses a Speed
Charm and she decides to make a run into a nearby crowd.
When Rena and Shugo arrive, they realize that there was a special event going on today involving trying to make the Cherry
Blossoms bloom. Shugo is really interested in getting over to the field and winning a rare item, but Rena suggests that the
field might be tough and they could use a wavemaster. Luckily Mireille just happens to be around and ready to lend a helping
hand.
At the field, Mireille does her best to try to get the trees to bloom, by casting healing spells. Her logic was that
if people are low on health, they use healing items and spells, so maybe the trees were the same way. However after casting
Repth and La Repth, she soon realizes that it is not working. Her next idea is that trees need water so she summons some
rain in an attempt to water the trees. However the trees still do not bloom. Realizing that if she does not help Rena and
Shugo win the rare item, she might not be able to go on any more adventures with them. And if she does not go on any more
adventures, she might miss out on many rare items. So she quickly disappears thinking that maybe one of her rare items might
be able to help.
While everyone is trying there hardest to make the cherry trees bloom, Balmung is enjoying saki underneath one of the
trees. Reki appears and questions whether this event is too hard or not. Balmung merely remarks that it is all common sense.
However Balmung knows Reki is not here to discuss the event. When Balmung finally asks why he is there, Reki responds that
there still has been no word yet on the incident. As Balmung looks down on the field, he notices Rena and Shugo at the event.
Shugo is merely sitting under a tree and he is reminiscing about his childhood when he and Rena used to play underneath the
cherry blossoms as their parents looked on. Suddenly, Shugo wakes up and notices a dog nearby. Shugo starts becoming excited
at the idea of having a pet in The World. So he starts to play with the dog and says that he wants to get one. Since there
are no pets in the world, Balmung hears this and decides to come over. He is concerned about the appearance of Kite and Black
Rose and that is when he notices Shugo's Bracelet. When he asks Kite where he got that, Shugo tells him that the girl in
white gave it to him. A weary Balmung could only reply with "Aura".
Elsewhere, Mireille remembers the story and how there are corpses hidden beneath the cherry blossom trees, so she starts
digging. As the story holds true, she finds a skeleton only this time the skeleton comes to life and starts chasing after
her. When Mireille runs past Balmung and the others but Balmung said that he did not put any monsters in the event. Fearing
the monsters might ruin the event, he steps in to fight the skeleton and he sends a powerful blast that goes right through
the skeleton. Unfortunately, it revives and starts chasing Shugo and Rena. Rena slips and Shugo (fearing that the skeleton
is going to attack Rena) decides to attempt a Data Drain. The Data Drain not only stops the skeleton, but all of the other
characters are frozen. Mireille decides to cast her spells but even those do not work. After a few moments everyone is able
to move again. However thanks to Shugo's Data Drain, the dog that was accompying Shugo changes into a girl. The girl, claims
she is a werewolf and she thanks Shugo for releasing her by using Data Drain. Mireille recognizes the girl as Divine Fist
Ouka and tells Shugo that she is one of the strongest warriors in The World. Anxious to take care of the skeleton, Ouka easily
fights the skeleton and proceeds to rip it apart.
As the effects of the Data Drain wear off, the spells that Mireille previously cast start to take effect and they destroy
one of the trees leaving behind ashes. Shugo walks up to where the tree was and takes the ashes in his hand and throws them
upon the branches of another tree causing them to bloom. Shugo immediately remembers the tale and that the ashes were what
made the cherry blossoms bloom in the story. With the help of Mireille, soon she is able to blow the ashes to all of the
neighboring trees, causing them to bloom once again.
Since Shugo thought of using the ashes to make the cherry trees bloom, Shugo wins the rare item. Upon opening the treasure
chest he finds out that the prize is a dog collar (to find out why this is significant read the recap section). He decides
to give it to Ouka and to consider it as payment for helping him out with the fight with the skeleton. She replies that she
will always wear the necklace and that if he needs any more help he should not hesitate to call.
